Welcome to the KSA School Community; 

8/13/19

Greetings to the KSA Families:    

 

It is with great pleasure that I write to welcome you and your student(s) to the 2019.2020 school year at the Kindergarten Success Academy (KSA).  Your child’s teacher assignment for the school year has been noted on the mailed letter. Class supply list are located under the Parent Resources tab.

 

The first day of school for students will begin on Thursday, September 5th and it will be a full day.  The school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 2:45 p.m.  All students should be dropped off and picked up on the parking lot side of the building where their assigned teachers will accompany them to class and assist with parent pickup for the 1st week of school.


Please be reminded that the school uniform is as follows: Policy #5511

Boys Girls

Yellow shirts (short/ long-sleeved) Yellow shirts/ blouses (long/ short-sleeved)

  Blue pants or shorts Navy Blue Pants/ Skirts/ Shorts or jumpers. 

Shoes or sneakers 

Optional for boys and girls: Navy blue sweaters or vests 

Jeans are not considered to be a part of the uniform at any time 

On gym days, students must wear sneakers, sweat or warm-up pants, sweatshirts 


or warm-up tops in navy blue or yellow.

ALL UNIFORM SHIRTS AND GYM CLOTHING MUST BE LOGO FREE



The Before the Bell Healthy Start Program will begin Monday, September 9, 2019. The Before the Bell Healthy Start Program is limited to 60 students. A permission slip will be sent home with every student to sign up for the program the first week of school.


The After the Bell Program is a Title I funded program for students requiring academic assistance. This program begins October 23, 2019, through May 7, 2020, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Identified students will be given permission slips for this program.


The Boys and Girls Club Program has partnered with us to offer an after school program from 2:45-6pm daily. However, there is a fee for the Boys and Girls Club (See information attached).

 

A Grab and Go Breakfast will be available daily beginning on the 1st day of school.

Beginning at 8:05 am to 8:25a.m. (Students must pay for breakfast pending lunch application approval process)

*(A sign up form for this program will be sent home with every student the first week of school)
